The Ministry of Information is sending a fifteen-member delegation to New Delhi soon for a specialized training program on new media and IT, running from September 14 to 25. Before their departure, the Indian Ambassador to Cambodia hosted a meet-and-greet at the embassy to discuss bilateral cooperation in human resource development over the years.
The training covers a wide range of topics, including short video production and special effects editing, web design, data journalism, and IT privacy laws, alongside fact-checking and media ethics. Beyond classroom lectures, participants will visit local newsrooms to see firsthand how things are run on the ground.
The program falls under a long-standing capacity-building initiative by India's Ministry of External Affairs. Over the years, the scheme has trained tens of thousands of participants from dozens of countries. In Cambodia alone, about 300 officials head to India each year to join various training courses.
