It was just before one in the morning on September 16 when a speeding car came out of nowhere in Phnom Penh.

The female driver was barrelling down Vimean Chumniv Road in Chaktomuk commune at a terrifying speed. As she hit the roundabout, she completely lost control, smashing hard into the center island and flipping several times before finally coming to a halt. Local media noted it was just another close call on the capital's late-night streets.

With traffic thinned out after midnight, drivers often tend to push their luck and heavy the gas pedal. Fortunately, she didn't plough into any roadside food carts or late-night moto riders—a lucky escape all around.
