According to reports on October 21, police in Banteay Meanchey province recently launched an anti-drug operation in Prachea Thor village, Phsar Kandal area of Poipet City. Three Chinese nationals, men and women, were arrested at the scene, and a cache of narcotics was confiscated.
The operation was conducted jointly by the provincial anti-drug department and local police under the coordination of a prosecutor. Authorities have not yet disclosed the specific types or quantities of the seized drugs.
Officers are currently preparing the case files to refer the three suspects and seized evidence to court for legal proceedings.
