According to Bernama, 150 officers from the Immigration Department, Road Transport Department, and National Registration Department mobilized at 10 a.m. The operation covered Kampung Cemeruh, Kampung Ceringin, and Kampung Sumsum, inspecting resorts, farms, and construction sites. Of 278 foreigners screened, 65 individuals aged 20 to 54 were detained for lacking valid permits, violating permit conditions, overstaying, or using forged travel documents.
All detainees were sent to the Kemayan Immigration Depot. Authorities also summoned two local resort and plantation owners suspected of providing illegal accommodation to foreigners. The operation followed complaints from residents and media reports.
