Yesterday, a taxi lost control on the highway from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville, crashing through the guardrail and tumbling down an embankment. A Filipino passenger was seriously injured.
The accident happened in Kampong Speu Province, not far from Phnom Penh. The taxi, driven by a 26-year-old, suddenly veered right, breaking through the steel barrier and plunging down.
The only passenger, 28-year-old Devie Lyn Bihasa, was badly hurt and rushed to a hospital in Phnom Penh for emergency treatment. Local police have detained the driver and the vehicle for further investigation.
