On Tuesday, the "Rainwater Cambodia" organization officially launched its new community rainwater harvesting system in Thpong Village, Pramoy Commune, Veal Veng District, Pursat Province.
In plain terms, it’s a water storage system for the villagers. Water access has always been tough in this area, but with the new equipment, residents can finally catch the rain and store it to use through drier days.
Up in these mountains, the dry and rainy seasons are worlds apart. Local media noted that these small-scale livelihood projects really do make a practical difference in villagers' daily lives.
