Looking through local news this week, I noticed that Cambodia’s Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport has signed a fresh agreement with the Hong Kong Jockey Club in Hong Kong. The deal was finalized on September 8 during the PBC Forum, with both sides committing to team up on early childhood education and digital development.
To be honest, walking down any street in Phnom Penh, you see kids with schoolbags everywhere. When it comes to nurseries and preschool education, there are certainly still quite a few gaps to fill here—especially in digital tech, where both hardware and teaching staff are still playing catch-up.
According to local media, partnering with the Hong Kong Jockey Club is a way to bring in some outside muscle to push early childhood learning forward.
