In Phnom Penh, workers are hoping for a pay raise to make life a bit easier. However, they understand that any increase needs to be reasonable so factories can manage. There's concern that if wages go up too much, factories might relocate to other countries, leading to job losses.
A worker named Dep says the current wages are okay, but a little bump would be nice. Still, he acknowledges that if wages rise too much, factory owners might not be on board.
Another worker, Brum, points out that if wages increase too quickly, investors might pull out, and workers would ultimately suffer. He believes that any pay raise should be balanced, ensuring current jobs are secure while also creating new opportunities.
