Hey, have you heard the latest? Something's happened again down in Kep province – you know, that smaller one right next to Kampot.

Police there just arrested a Chinese guy. They're saying he was firing a gun indiscriminately and also had illegal firearms. This all went down on September 9, 2026, around 3:30 PM. It was right near the Kep Roundabout, at that noticeable bend in the road.

Apparently, the police moved pretty fast. They picked up five people in total – three Chinese nationals and two locals. They also found some guns at the scene, which were all taken back to the station for questioning. Our police here can be pretty quick when something kicks off, you know?

After checking things out, they identified the main suspect as a Chinese man named WU YANWEI, 36 years old. Turns out he didn't have a proper job and, get this, no passport either. He's already been sent to court to face legal proceedings. As for the other four – one Chinese woman and the two local guys – the police gave them a stern talking-to and then let them go home.

Honestly, you hear about these kinds of things happening around here quite often, just through word of mouth. It just goes to show, you really need to be careful when you're out and about.
