Centered around the theme "Jointly Severing and Ending the Cyber Scam Chain," the summit is bringing in delegates from over 20 countries and three key international organizations.
To keep everything running smoothly, senior chiefs from the National Police, the Council of Ministers, and the Prime Minister’s Bodyguard Headquarters convened a joint security planning meeting yesterday. The security effort is comprehensive, bringing together various ministries, the National Gendarmerie, the General Department of Immigration, and unified command centers from both Phnom Penh and neighboring Kandal province to coordinate city-wide safety.
Whenever Phnom Penh hosts high-profile international gatherings like this, street checks and checkpoints usually tighten up. With Kandal bordering the capital, authorities are expected to keep a close eye on all land and water routes heading in and out of the city.
