Hey, did you hear? Over in Dangkor District, they busted another group of online scammers the other day. Six people in total – five locals and one Chinese national. The local news covered it, saying the raid happened on September 5th.
Once the court issued the detention order, these six were sent straight to Prey Sar Prison early yesterday morning. Honestly, these kinds of stories aren't new in Phnom Penh anymore. You hear about them all the time, everywhere you go. It really feels like the police here are working non-stop, always making arrests.
These scammers keep coming up with new tricks, but the police are right there, catching them. Especially in Phnom Penh, there's so much of this going on, it makes people uneasy. It makes you feel a bit on edge, you know? There's just this restless vibe in the city, especially at night. Hopefully, we'll see less of this, and everyone can just live peacefully, instead of trying to take shortcuts.
