Here in Cambodia, 18 casinos recently had their licenses revoked. Apparently, it's all because they're suspected of being involved in online scamming, and it's caused quite a stir. On top of that, another nine casinos have had their operations suspended while authorities try to get to the bottom of things.
Local media reports that these casinos often had pretty fancy-sounding names, like KMH Paradise and Eagle King. But sadly, their glory days are over, and they're being forced to shut down.
You hear people on the street talking about how this whole thing has really made everyone uneasy. The casino business here was already a bit of a tricky one, and this just makes things even worse. Everyone's just waiting to see if more casinos will be investigated next.
