Word on the street is that Jiang Guoli, head of the Criminal Investigation Bureau under China’s Ministry of Public Security, announced plans to officially launch an international alliance against telecom network fraud this September at the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum. Initiated by China, the alliance aims to bring law enforcement agencies from different countries together to tackle transnational cyber scams more effectively and make cross-border investigations a lot smoother.
