Court records show the Bai syndicate involved 21 defendants across 12 charges, handling nearly 29 billion RMB in illicit funds—over 10.6 billion RMB in fraud and 18.2 billion RMB in gambling—and causing the deaths of six Chinese nationals. Following initial death sentences handed down by a Shenzhen court in late 2025 and the subsequent death of patriarch Bai Suocheng from illness, Bai Yingcang and three others were executed on February 2, 2026, after appeals were rejected.
The documentary also detailed the Ming family syndicate, which amassed over 10 billion RMB in fraud and gambling proceeds and caused 14 deaths. Eleven defendants from the Ming faction, including Ming Guoping and Ming Zhenzhen, were executed on January 29, 2026.
