Police authorities in Laos' Bokeo Province, coordinated with Pang Hok border checkpoint staff in Phongsaly, handed over 30 Vietnamese suspects to Vietnamese authorities at the Tay Trang International Border Gate in Dien Bien Province. The group includes eight women, all suspected of operating telecom fraud call centers.
Officials from both sides verified the identities and signed transfer records before handing the suspects over for formal investigation under Vietnamese law. The deportation comes amid joint efforts by Laos and Vietnam to crack down on transnational crime, illegal border crossings, and cross-border cyber fraud networks.
