According to Myanmar police, five local human traffickers were sentenced on October 1 to 21 years in prison with hard labor. The victim, 26-year-old singer and model Vera Kravtsova, arrived in Myanmar in September 2025, where she was trafficked into a scam hub, forced into online fraud operations, and ultimately died following severe physical abuse.
