Pakistan's National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) conducted a raid on a center operating under the name "MediConnex," arresting 38 suspects. Law enforcement seized 24 desktop computers, seven laptops, 42 mobile phones, and three vehicles during the operation.

Preliminary investigations reveal that the ring disguised itself as a legitimate medical billing provider while cold-calling victims in Canada and other foreign jurisdictions. Using enticing promotional offers, the suspects allegedly swindled targets into revealing personal identities, credit card details, and banking credentials. Investigators are now tracing financial flows and determining whether more overseas victims were affected.
