According to Myanmar media reports, on the morning of October 5, local People's Militia forces conducting patrols in Hopong Township uncovered a suspected cyber fraud and gambling den near Na-Lone Village in the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone.
A total of 87 suspects were rounded up on site, including 75 Chinese citizens and 12 Myanmar nationals. Officers also seized Starlink satellite internet units and a substantial quantity of mobile phones.
All 87 detainees alongside the confiscated equipment have been handed over to the Hopong Township Police Station, where authorities are conducting further investigations and proceeding with legal action.
