Cambodian authorities have mobilized nearly 20,000 security personnel across 30 departments to protect the upcoming 20th Francophonie Summit, according to a deputy commissioner-general of the National Police. The extensive deployment is aimed at ensuring the safety of visiting heads of state and foreign dignitaries throughout the event.

Under the direction of National Police Chief Sar Thet, security forces have already concluded their fourth large-scale motorcade drill across Phnom Penh and Techo International Airport. With checkpoints and road closures expected to peak during the summit, residents are advised to plan commutes and travel well ahead of time.
