The fraudster claimed the victim was implicated in an ongoing criminal case, using psychological pressure to demand an urgent transfer of 45 million VND.
Local police swiftly arrived, explained the standard playbook of fake law enforcement scams, and persuaded the victim to halt the transaction before the money was lost. Authorities remind the public that police, procuracy, and judicial organs never ask residents over the phone to wire funds to "safe accounts."
