Acting on a tip-off from condominium residents, police in Kanchanaburi inspected an apartment and apprehended a 33-year-old Chinese national. A passport check revealed he had overstayed his visa by 578 days.
Upon cross-checking with Chinese authorities, police confirmed that the man was wanted in China for a 2024 real estate fraud scheme involving forged property documents worth approximately 2.3 billion baht, after which he fled to Thailand to lay low.
