On September 22, Pakistan's National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) busted three suspected operations, seizing over 300 mobile phones and hundreds of computers. The facilities were allegedly involved in international cyber fraud, Google scams, and online romance schemes, leading to the detention of 212 Chinese and Pakistani nationals.

Following judicial review on September 22 and 23, the vast majority were let go: 179 individuals have been released, while only 27 remain in physical custody under court order. Authorities are continuing investigations into the exact roles of those detained.
