According to Thai Immigration and the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB), the suspect, identified as Mr. Wang, was an investor and supplier for a transnational drug trafficking network. Chinese authorities alleged that he smuggled cannabis and other narcotics to China via maritime routes, with each shipment exceeding 80 kilograms, selling them at high markups.

Records show Wang entered Thailand via Satun in June and converted his stay into a 90-day marriage extension. During the raid on his Kritha-area villa, police seized 13 items including bank passbooks and phones, uncovering over 50 million baht flowing through his accounts in recent months. His Thai visa has been revoked, and extradition proceedings back to China are underway.
