Speaking at the 62nd Myanmar Police Force Day on October 1, Min Aung Hlaing declared cyber fraud an intolerable crime, stressing that the government is enforcing a firm "zero tolerance" policy. Official figures show that between October 5, 2023, and September 29, 2026, authorities arrested a total of 76,486 suspects, with 73,258 already repatriated to their respective home countries.
Enforcement also targeted physical hubs directly. Police and military forces demolished all 635 fraud-linked structures in KK Park, as well as 77 buildings in the Shwe Kokko area. With updated anti-fraud legislation taking effect in late July, officials stressed that strict crackdowns and public awareness efforts will continue.
