According to court details, the group operated out of two residential properties in East Ledang, Iskandar Puteri, and was raided on September 25. They posted fraudulent job openings online to deceive foreign victims, primarily targeting people in the United States with non-existent job offers.
The defendants, aged between their 20s and 40s, included 10 Malaysians and five Chinese nationals. The magistrate's court fined nine Malaysians RM 3,500 each, while the remaining Malaysian and five Chinese nationals were fined RM 4,200 each.
