The hub operated like a call center, focusing on online dating and romance scams. Authorities seized computers containing stolen photos of women, scripted chat templates, and extensive conversation records. Operators lured victims into romantic relationships before convincing them to send money. Some victims were also coerced into sending explicit photos or videos, which were subsequently used for extortion. The victims include both Filipinos and foreigners.
All individuals involved have been taken into custody. Law enforcement is currently verifying the immigration status of the foreign suspects as the investigation continues.
