On September 29, the Islamabad District and Sessions Court ruled on the Sector G-13/3 shooting case involving Chinese nationals. The defendant, Yin Gu Xuan, was sentenced to death under Section 302-B of the Pakistan Penal Code for the murder of fellow countryman Zhu Xin Liang, and ordered to pay 1 million PKR in compensation to the victim's family. The court also handed down a seven-year rigorous imprisonment term along with a 100,000 PKR fine for house trespass, while acquitting him of charges under Section 354.
The shooting took place in August 2024 after a dispute broke out between the two men, during which the defendant fired a shot directly into the victim's head before being detained by police.
