Acting on instructions from Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sar Sokha, Secretary of State and head of the national anti-illegal gambling task force Sok Phal chaired a high-level planning meeting to deploy a targeted campaign against online gambling run out of casinos.

A total of 14 senior officials took part, including deputy chiefs of the National Police, deputy directors-general of Immigration, and the director of the Anti-Commercial Gambling Crimes Department, laying out operational plans and inter-agency coordination.

September 30 marks the deadline after which all physical casinos nationwide are required to halt online gambling services, setting up strict cross-department enforcement ahead.
