On September 28, the Royal Malaysia Police, in conjunction with the Commercial Crime Investigation Department, launched a special operation dubbed "Op Dadu Khas." Officers simultaneously raided eight residential premises across Kuala Lumpur, busting an illicit call center network involved in online gambling and telecommunications fraud. A total of 74 foreign nationals aged between 20 and 50, including seven women, were arrested on site. Preliminary checks confirmed that 61 are Chinese nationals, 12 are Vietnamese nationals, and one is from Taiwan.

According to investigators, the raided houses served a dual purpose as living quarters and operational hubs for running pig butchering scams, fraudulent investment platforms, and illegal gambling sites. Authorities seized desktop computers, laptops, modems, mobile phones, and a small quantity of narcotics during the operation. Police have registered eight investigation files to pursue charges under cyber fraud, online gambling, and drug-related laws.
