Vietnamese authorities recently handed over three Chinese nationals—Li Hie Jie, Zhou Lei, and Han Wei—to Chinese police at the Huu Nghi International Border Gate in Lang Son Province. All three were wanted by Chinese law enforcement and were uncovered during an investigation into foreigners residing illegally in Vietnam.
Another Chinese fugitive linked to the same case was repatriated earlier. Cross-border police cooperation between China and Vietnam continues to tighten, making immigration sweeps a frequent trigger for fugitive extraditions.
