During the fourth tripartite meeting of the National Minimum Wage Council held today, union representatives put forward a proposed $15 raise, aiming to lift the monthly minimum wage from $210 to $225. Employer representatives held their ground, insisting on keeping the current $210 base salary and $2.50 transportation allowance unchanged.
With neither side yielding, the final minimum wage decision will be settled via a vote at the tripartite council meeting scheduled for September 30.
