The operation took place in early July. Officers stormed the compound while operators were actively typing away at their stations, catching the crew red-handed. Police rounded up dozens of Chinese suspects, including one woman, and seized more than 100 smartphones alongside over 20 computers.

Following local legal processing, the entire group was handed over to Chinese authorities in mid-September and escorted back to China to face charges.
