Security investigation agencies in Vietnam recently expanded an ongoing inquiry, busting a case involving the organization of illegal entry and stay for foreign nationals. Investigators have identified Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh, born in 1996, as a key suspect in the operation.
Inquiries revealed that Linh had been cohabiting with a Chinese national named Li Kun since 2017. In early May 2026, Li accepted an assignment via WhatsApp to arrange accommodations for approximately 30 foreigners entering Vietnam to conduct livestream e-commerce sales. Linh and Li subsequently rented multiple houses and apartments to shelter these individuals who were staying in the country illegally.
Reports have not yet disclosed the nationalities of the foreigners or the outcome for Li Kun.
