According to a recent post by a former employee, Zhongxin Property at Site 4 and an on-site company named Hengtai are mired in chaotic management. The complainant alleged that worker dormitories constantly suffer from water and power outages, and basic maintenance requests—such as fixing a broken toilet—are routinely ignored. The worker also voiced frustration over unfair treatment, questioning whether local Myanmar-Chinese staff are being treated with basic decency.
Beyond miserable living conditions, complaints against Hengtai's operational practices are equally severe. The former staff member claimed that wages were unreliable, promised benefits vanished into thin air, and commissions were arbitrarily slashed. On top of grueling compulsory overtime, employees were reportedly hit with fabricated fines, while management neglected performance targets and engaged in the harassment of female employees.
In these enclosed industrial compounds, property operators and tenant firms typically form a predatory alliance. Property managers reap heavy fees from rent and utilities, while company operators pass down operating costs to line-level workers through wage withholdings and penalties. When business slows, internal management quickly degrades into outright extortion and pressure against frontline staff and local laborers.
The worker noted they have since left the company and warned others to stay away from the area. In these compounds, verbal promises from recruiters usually evaporate, leaving behind only arbitrary fines and harsh realities.
