According to an official notice issued on October 15 by the General Department of Immigration of Cambodia, Cambodian authorities collaborated with the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia to deport 90 Chinese nationals suspected of illegal activities back to China via a special chartered flight. The group included 87 men and 3 women.
The official notice highlighted multiple overlapping violations among the deportees, primarily illegal stay, unauthorized employment, illegal border crossing, and suspected involvement in telecom fraud and other unlawful activities. In local gray-market operations, irregular border crossings and visa violations frequently overlap with illicit operations.
Coordinated bilateral enforcement between Cambodia and China has increasingly adopted chartered repatriation as a routine exit procedure. As inspections targeting illegal residency and telecom fraud persist, individuals caught in these operations face a clear and swift path back home.
