On the afternoon of October 13, local police raided the Sky Tree condominium in Toul Sangke I commune, Toul Kork district. Officers targeted room 07 on the 10th floor, detaining five suspects on the spot. Beside six packets of white powder and drug paraphernalia, authorities seized nine smartphones, an iPad, and two computers.
According to the municipal anti-drug department, the operation was triggered by public reports of a violent dispute alongside drug abuse inside the unit. Guided by Phnom Penh police chief Chuon Narin and coordinated with prosecutors, the raid moved swiftly to shut down the disturbance.
The volume of electronics seized is telling. In Phnom Penh's major rental towers, private apartments frequently double as transient workstations for small, loose-knit groups. When internal friction, intoxication, or domestic squabbles spill out into the hallway, a full police takedown usually follows immediately.
The five suspects have been taken to the municipal police headquarters for interrogation, as investigators look deeper into their activities and networks.
