On October 12, the Bureau of Immigration intelligence division, backed by the Armed Forces Joint Task Force-NCR, raided a suspected underground facility in Barangay Socorro, Cubao. Authorities detained 76 foreign nationals on site, including 74 Chinese citizens and two Myanmar nationals. According to officials, the individuals were caught red-handed engaging in suspected online scam operations.

This marks the second raid against suspected illegal POGO operations conducted by the immigration bureau within just two weeks. As the government tightens the noose around offshore gaming operators ahead of the total ban deadline, underground setups attempting to hide in residential communities are facing aggressive sweeps involving both civil and military personnel.

All 76 detainees are currently undergoing preliminary legal proceedings and face deportation investigations. Once formal deportation orders are issued, they will be blacklisted and permanently barred from re-entering the country.
