The special zone relies heavily on a constant power supply. Outages frequently disrupt everyday commerce and cause cellular base stations to weaken, degrading internet connectivity in many quarters. Even though some larger compounds rely on diesel generators, consecutive full-day blackouts inevitably slow down overall operations.
Those based in the zone are advised to charge their laptops, phones, and power banks beforehand to manage the daytime downtime.
