On October 9, Thailand's Anti-Money Laundering Office revealed the discovery of another 416 assets linked to Chen Zhi and associated figures, who face allegations involving fraud, human trafficking, asset misappropriation, and participation in organized crime. The newly identified properties are valued at approximately 118 million baht and include land parcels, motor vehicles, luxury goods, and bank deposits.

Legal procedures for confiscation are already in motion. On October 6, the anti-money laundering agency resolved to transfer documentation to public prosecutors, who will petition the civil court to seize the properties permanently for the state. This action follows an earlier round of enforcement targeting 96 assets worth roughly 345 million baht, which remains under review in civil court proceedings.

Over the past few years, significant illicit capital has flowed into Thailand, parked in real estate, luxury consumer goods, and nominee accounts. As financial intelligence tracing becomes routine, cross-border asset freezing leaves increasingly little room for gray-market wealth to remain concealed.
