The Preah Sihanouk provincial administration recently announced five days of free public transport during the Pchum Ben holiday, operating from October 9 to October 13. A total of 14 minibuses have been deployed exclusively for passengers traveling between Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville.

Designated passenger terminals have been confirmed: Independence Park for Sihanoukville, and the public bus terminal on Street 2004 (next to the Air Force Command) for Phnom Penh.

Pchum Ben is one of the busiest travel periods of the year in Cambodia, when seats on intercity routes are hard to come by. While 14 minibuses offer limited total capacity, the service provides a practical and cost-free transit option for local commuters and expat workers needing to travel between the two cities over the break.
