Planning a trip to Cambodia in 2026? Heads up, there are some big changes to the entry rules. Everything's going digital, and if you hold a Chinese passport, you’ll enjoy a temporary visa-free entry. But leave those e-cigarettes at home—they're strictly banned.
Whether you’re visa-free or already have a visa, you’ll need to fill out the e-Arrival card. You can find it at arrival.gov.kh, and it’s free. Make sure to submit it within seven days before you arrive. Save or print the QR code it generates—you’ll need it at the border. Remember, the e-Arrival card isn’t a visa, so even if you’re visa-free, you can’t skip this step.
For Chinese passport holders, there’s good news. From June 15 to October 15, 2026, both mainland and Hong Kong/Macau passports can enter without a visa for up to 14 days per visit, and you can come and go multiple times. Stay longer than 14 days, and you’ll need a regular visa.
If you need one, an e-visa is an option too. It costs about $30 for a tourist visa, takes around three working days to process, and lets you stay for a month within a three-month validity. Just double-check that your entry point accepts e-visas before you travel.
A special note: e-cigarettes are a no-go in Cambodia. You can’t import, possess, or use them, so don’t think you can sneak one in for personal use. Drugs, psychoactive substances, and weapons are also strictly controlled.
