Recently, the governor of Kampong Speu mentioned that 42 Chinese companies are showing interest in investing in the area. They're planning visits to explore setting up factories or expanding their businesses.
A while back, a delegation from Kampong Speu went to Nanning, China, to chat with these companies. They highlighted the local investment climate and growth potential. The companies are interested in a wide range of sectors, including agriculture, industry, construction, tourism, technology, mining, logistics, and renewable energy.
Some of these companies already have operations here and are looking to invest more, while others are newcomers considering their options. The provincial government has promised to make things easier for investors, helping with procedures and enhancing security and services.
Currently, Kampong Speu hosts nearly 3,000 factories and businesses, providing over 400,000 jobs. The government believes that with more investments, the area could become Cambodia's industrial and economic hub, creating even more job opportunities.
