A deputy commander from Thailand's Second Army recently made some bold statements, threatening to give the Cambodian military a "lesson they'll never forget" if conflict breaks out again. He even suggested they might push into Cambodia's heartland, all the way to Phnom Penh.

This stirred up quite a reaction among Cambodians online and in the media. People pointed out that during the last conflict, which lasted nearly a month, the Thai military used advanced weapons and aircraft but never reached Phnom Penh. Meanwhile, Cambodia held its ground with just AKs and some old rocket launchers.

The Cambodian military isn't backing down either, saying they're ready to respond at any time. They even challenged the Thai side, saying if they're so confident, they should come out from behind their bunkers and face them directly. This has become the talk of the town, and tensions are definitely running high.
