The author says they followed the company through its various rebrandings to Peninsula Sports and Star Sports, before eventually getting arrested for recruiting players. While locked up, the agent ran into a dozen other people from the same industry. Comparing notes, they realized a significant number of agents have been caught, and that the operation holds plenty of secrets outsiders know nothing about.
According to this group of agents, they are sitting on core data about the platform, including detailed personal information on the CEO, known as Boss Yan. Their motive for reaching out is straightforward: they want their unpaid commissions. Local media note that while online gambling agents enjoyed a boom across Southeast Asia for a while, when things go south, platforms and top management usually wash their hands clean, leaving the frontline agents to take the fall.
The open letter carries a sharp warning, telling the company to stop using low-level staff as shields. If management keeps playing deaf and dumb, the agents threaten to leak all the personal data they have gathered, and even drop by the CEO's hometown to visit family. Life isn't easy for anyone trying to make a living out here, but once you get dragged into these online betting rings, a messy falling-out usually means nobody gets any peace.
