Kampong Cham provincial governor Un Chanda called a meeting yesterday afternoon with all local law enforcement agencies to review the province’s crackdown on online scams over the first nine months of the year and check the progress of ongoing cases.
At the meeting, Governor Un noted that scam syndicates are constantly changing their tactics, meaning different units can no longer operate in silos. He stressed that agencies need to tighten information-sharing networks and report new developments on the fly to fully figure out how these networks operate.
The meeting went beyond just reviewing past work by putting current challenges on the table to hammer out solutions. With authorities already keeping a close eye on the streets, the next priority is to sharpen the accuracy of these operations and keep the province secure.
