Good news for people with money tied up in Prince Bank: the liquidators, Morisonkak MKA Co., Ltd., announced that the bank's wind-down is officially finished. As of August 31, every single depositor has been fully paid back.
The liquidation is being handled by court-appointed liquidators designated by the National Bank of Cambodia to oversee both Prince Bank and Peng Dar Bank. Prince Bank put out its final notice back on March 8 and has been working through repayments ever since, finally clearing out the last of the accounts recently.
Things are moving along for Peng Dar Bank, too, with 98% of depositors already getting their full money back. However, there are still 135 depositors waiting to be paid out. The liquidators say they are working on it and will handle those remaining claims once more of the bank's assets are sold off. Anyone who wants to check on their status can call the hotline listed in the official notice.
