Thailand's Second Army Region recently announced they're ready to reclaim Hill 450 and the Kladong Pass. This area has long been disputed, with Thailand claiming Cambodian forces have occupied it since the Khmer Rouge era.

The Thai military explained that they hadn't rushed to reclaim it before because it's a nature reserve and the roads were tough to navigate. Now that they've improved the roads, Cambodia has started digging trenches.

Locals are chatting about this at the tea stalls, feeling a bit uneasy. Life is already tough for residents near the border, and now they're worried about the possibility of conflict.
