Officers managed to recover getaway motorbikes, severed cables, and various tools, hauling in nine suspects in total.
According to local media, Chinese nationals are among the nine arrested. Authorities have already returned some of the stolen goods to their owners, and the case files have been handed over to the provincial court to await trial. Amid the roar of motorbike exhausts and the night breeze, what residents care about most is simply getting a good night's sleep without living in constant dread after dark.
In their official statement, Sihanoukville police promised to step up patrols and crackdowns to safeguard public order and protect tourists.
