Another sweep went down in Laos' Bokeo province on August 20, with 145 Chinese nationals linked to crimes handed over to China at the Mohan-Boten international border checkpoint. With security already tight on the ground lately, this latest batch marks another major clear-out.
Local media reported that the vast majority—136 people, including three women—were busted for telecom fraud. The remaining nine were collared for illegal entry. Police from both sides carried out identity checks and completed the handover right at the border before taking everyone back.
