According to an online informant, the area within a one-kilometer radius of the renowned Phonsisakelat Buddhist site has turned into a hub for scam operations. Hundreds of telecom fraud workers are reportedly gathered across three nearby villages, operating over a dozen targeting China, Thailand, and the United States.

Sources allege these syndicates operate mainly out of rented residential houses, creating informal compound-style networks under the protection of local officials. The whistleblower urged regional law enforcement, including Thai and Chinese authorities, to take coordinated action against these decentralized hubs and restore peace to the local community.
